The Role
Payroll Manager running a high-volume function across 2,000+ employees. Hands‐on role leading a small team (4–5 directs), owning fortnightly payroll end‐to‐end and keeping things accurate, compliant and on track.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end fortnightly payroll (2,000+ employees)
* Multi‐award interpretation (Real Estate, Aged Care, Nurses, Clerical, Hospitality)
* Review of pay runs, entitlements, deductions and super
* Payroll reporting, reconciliations and controls
* Chris21 & Dayforce ownership (data, issues, config)
* Manage team workload and output across each cycle
* Key contact for payroll queries across the business
* Support system changes and payroll process improvements
About You
* Strong end-to-end payroll experience in high-volume environments
* Proven Modern Award interpretation capability
* Hands‐on Chris21 and Dayforce experience (nice to have)
* Team leadership experience (or ready to step up)
