Job Title: Network Planning and Development Manager
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Network Planning and Development Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the network planning activities associated with the development of D-REZs (Distribution Renewable Energy Zones) to accommodate embedded generators, storage and large loads in our sub-transmission network.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Undertaking comprehensive network planning processes to assess network capabilities and identify opportunities to maximize utilisation of our sub-transmission network
* Developing strategies and identifying opportunities that enhance the efficiency and reliability of our network
* Producing network investment plans and proposals for our regulated sub-transmission network
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and implement network planning solutions
Requirements:
* Advanced technical knowledge and robust experience in electricity network planning
* Strong understanding of Chapter 5 and Chapter 5A of the NER (National Electricity Rules) and its application to network design, customer and generator performance standards
* Expertise in using electricity network analysis tools or relevant software and interpreting results
* Experience and knowledge in run back schemes design and harmonic allocation
* Critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to find new and unique solutions
