Chemistry Researcher (Masters/PhDs) - AI Training

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for Masters and PhD‐level chemists who want to put their expertise to meaningful use — on their own schedule, from anywhere.
About The Role

What You'll Do
* Design and develop advanced chemistry problems with real‐world scientific relevance across organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
* Solve and critically review complex problem sets to ensure scientific accuracy, depth, and rigor
* Apply domain expertise to craft nuanced problem statements that challenge and improve AI reasoning
* Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to refine model outputs
* Evaluate and provide structured feedback on AI‐generated chemistry content
* Work independently on task‐based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
* Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
* Strong expertise in one or more areas: organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
* Comfortable working with Python or computational chemistry tools (e.g., Gaussian, VASP)
* Exceptionally detail‐oriented with a rigorous, methodical approach to scientific problems
* Clear and precise written communicator — you can explain complex concepts with confidence
* Fluent in English
Nice to Have
* Prior experience with data annotation, data labeling, or AI evaluation workflows
* Background in research, academic publishing, or scientific peer review
* Familiarity with machine learning concepts or AI model training pipelines
* Experience designing problem sets, exams, or educational chemistry content
