Stakeholder coordinator

Gold Coast
NEPKI
Posted: 30 April
Offer description

Key Responsibilities

* Stakeholder Coordination & Onboarding: Act as the primary contact for manufacturers, networks, and other NEPKI users. Run onboarding sessions, manage queries, track progress, and ensure stakeholders understand where they are in the process and what's required of them.
* Governance Support: Provide secretariat support for NEPKI governance forums (including SteerCo and Policy Management Authority). Prepare materials, take minutes, track actions, and ensure follow-through across stakeholders.
* Process Ownership & Improvement: Document and maintain NEPKI's operational processes. Identify gaps between documentation and reality, and drive improvements as NEPKI moves from early release phases into a more mature operating model.
* Issue Tracking & Resolution: Maintain clear logs of stakeholder issues and queries. Ensure items are tracked, escalated where needed, and resolved in a timely and transparent way.
* Stakeholder Communication: Reduce ambiguity and friction by communicating clearly, consistently, and proactively. Ensure stakeholders feel supported, informed, and confident engaging with NEPKI.
* Capacity Building & Awareness: Support the development of materials and activities that build understanding of NEPKI across the energy sector, helping stakeholders engage more independently over time.

What You'll Need

* Demonstrated success in a coordination, operations, or programme support role, ideally in a technical, regulated, or multi-stakeholder environment.
* A high level of confidence running meetings, handling questions from mixed audiences, and communicating clearly in writing, including the ability to stay composed when things are unclear or under pressure.
* Prior experience supporting governance forums - minute taking, action tracking, and preparing materials for senior stakeholders.
* Strong process thinking and analytical rigour. Able to read documentation critically, identify gaps, and bring structure to ambiguous or evolving processes.
* Comfort in a lean, early-stage environment. You take initiative, but stay aligned, bringing options and solutions, not just problems.
* Familiarity with the Australian energy market, CER ecosystem, or digital infrastructure environments is beneficial but not essential.

Why Join NEPKI?

* Mission-Driven Work: NEPKI sits at the centre of Australia's energy transition. The work is genuinely consequential, and the organisation is small enough that your contribution is visible.
* Direct Impact: Reporting to the CEO, with periodic visibility to the Board, this is a critical, early role in the NEPKI organisation.
* Competitive Package: Benchmarked to comparable critical infrastructure and cyber roles, including base, super, and performance-linked incentives.
* Work from Anywhere: This is a fully remote role (within Australia).

If this sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd love to hear from you. Please send your CV and a short note introducing yourself via the link provided.

Applicants must be currently located in Australia, hold Australian citizenship and willing to undergo security clearances, if required in the future.
