The City of Karratha is looking for an enthusiastic Youth Officer to join our team on a part time basis (38 hours per fortnight) and help shape the future of youth programs in our community
What You'll Be Doing:
* Deliver engaging programs that encourage positive socialization and safe recreation for young people aged 11–18.
* Be a role model and provide guidance and support to young people.
* Activate our youth facilities by running programs and ensuring they are safe, welcoming, and well maintained.
* Engage with stakeholders including community groups, contractors, and service providers to enhance youth opportunities.
* Support young people by ensuring their safety and making appropriate referrals when needed.

What We're Looking For:
* Experience in youth work, social work, or community services (or currently studying in these areas).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build connections with young people.
* Ability to manage programs, solve problems, and handle challenges with confidence.
* A Working with Children Check, First Aid
* Certificate, and C Class Driver's License (or willingness to obtain).
