Empower Youth Development Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Empower Youth Development Specialist to join our team in Emerald. In this role, you will work directly with young people to improve their safety, wellbeing and future opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Social Support Services: Provide support access to secure accommodation for at-risk youth aged 12-21.
* Wellbeing Intervention: Reduce harm and risk factors such as substance abuse, self-harm/injury and suicide.
* Cultural Connection: Foster cultural connection and promote community engagement.
* Education and Employment: Support young people in participating in education, training and employment activities.
* Familial Bonding: Connect young people with their families, culture and community.
* Justice Diversion: Work towards diverting young people away from the criminal justice system.
Mandatory Requirements: A diploma qualification in Behavioural Sciences or an equivalent field is essential.
