The Opportunity We’re looking for a Senior Agronomist to join our Ballarat-based team. This is a unique opportunity to work across our external client portfolio, without the pressure of maintaining a traditional sales book. You’ll be part of a high-performing agronomy team, backed by cutting-edge technology, AI tools, and data analytics, with flexibility to explore commercial opportunities and innovative projects. Key Responsibilities Deliver expert agronomic advice in crop planning, nutrition, pest and weed management, and sustainable practices. Develop tailored farm plans to improve productivity, profitability, and soil health. Leverage our large-scale farming operations to provide evidence-based recommendations. Champion the use of digital tools, AI, and emerging technologies in crop management. Build and maintain trusted relationships with growers and community stakeholders. Mentor junior agronomists and collaborate across our divisions (inputs, grain marketing, logistics, production). Contribute to grower meetings, field days, and forums to share insights and strengthen engagement. What You’ll Bring Degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, or related discipline. 3–5 years’ experience in broadacre cropping agronomy (dryland cropping highly regarded). Strong technical knowledge in crop nutrition, protection, soil health, and IPM. Proven ability to engage and influence growers and stakeholders. Experience in managing an external client base and confidence in your recommendations and ability to support our growers. Commercial acumen and a passion for innovation and technology.
