Find your future with us.*We currently have multiple opportunities for trade qualified **Spray Painters** to join our advanced manufacturing site located in **Port Melbourne** on a **full-time permanent basis**. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for Sealant application, product preparation and painting of various parts and products within the paint shop. You will be placed on one of these shifts depending on business requirements (your flexibility to undertake shift work is essential):* **Day Shift:** 6am – 2:30pm* **Afternoon Shift:** 2:30pm – 11pm (15% Salary loading)* **Night Shift:** 10pm – 6:30am (30% Salary loading)**Our team members enjoy a range of benefits including:*** Induction program to set you up for success followed by on the job training by experienced Operators* Attractive annual base salary of $98,697 + 12% Super + Shift Allowance (if applicable)* Annual gainshare program (company bonus) with yearly salary increases as per the Enterprise Agreement* Monthly rostered day off* Additional annual Boeing Day off in addition to 20 days of annual leave* Excellent work-life balance* Strong career progression opportunities with many different pathways available within the business* Team based environment along with supportive Team Leaders and Managers* Free onsite parking* Onsite canteen* New uniform provided yearly, including safety gear and tools* Access to Boeing Discount Program – an exclusive retail and services discount marketplace, including health insurance, travel and accommodation* Health and wellbeing benefits including access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Industrial Athlete Program and more* Salary packaging options available**Position Responsibilities:*** Understanding the requirements of quality instructions and detailed drawings* Compliance with BAA and customer quality assurance standards and requirements* Comply with surface finish process specifications and work order specifications* Operate and monitor spray booths & oven specifications* Preparation and painting of final assembled and detailed parts* Use of both hand and pneumatic paint process tools* Complete preparation processes for painting of composite products* Undertake mixing processes and paint application in a production environment* Maintain housekeeping and compliance requirements* Participate in Lean programs by supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the business* Participate in health and safety culture and uphold safety & environmental standards**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):*** Trade qualification as a Spray Painter is essential* Relevant experience working as a Spray Painter* Experience in spray painting onto various substrate materials in a high-quality environment* Flexibility to be undertake shift work across day, afternoon and night shift is essential* Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions as per specifications* Excellent communication and teamwork skills* Basic use of computer systems* Able to exercise independent judgment* Capable of working under indirect supervision* General knowledge of safety procedures and strong advocate of EH&S* Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia**Additional Information:** This is an Enterprise Agreement position classified as an Aerospace Tradesperson 1. Candidates will be required to complete background checks and successfully complete a 3-month probationary period.
