The Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Air Freight Export specialists while ensuring the efficient movement of freight, strong customer relationships, and achievement of operational and financial targets. You will be a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring staff, improving processes, and supporting your team to deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach and develop a team of Air Freight Export operators Ensure all export shipments are processed accurately and in line with customer requirements Drive operational efficiency, productivity and service excellence Monitor and achieve key operational and financial KPIs Maximise gross profit and minimise operational costs across all shipments Act as the primary escalation point for customer and operational issues Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and carriers Ensure compliance with all regulatory, security and company procedures Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team performance Support business growth through exceptional service and customer retention About You To be successful in this role, you will possess: Proven experience within Air Freight Export Operations Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience within freight forwarding Strong knowledge of export procedures, carrier requirements and compliance regulations Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills Commercial awareness with a focus on profitability and operational efficiency Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities The ability to motivate, mentor and develop a successful team Excellent communication and organisational skills What's On Offer?
