Vinpac was established in 1975 to provide contract bottling services to customers in the Australian wine industry. Today, we operate two facilities located in the iconic Barossa and McLaren Vale wine regions of South Australia.

**What you'll do**:
The Area Manager Despatch role exists to ensure optimal Despatch operational performance across the key pillars of safety, service, people and value to create a world class supply chain that is described as the best and safest place to work.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Promote safety values and implement safety, health and environment policies and systems to embed safety into the culture and ways of working.
- Support the Logistics And Supply Chain Manager in leading business, operational and special event planning they are responsible for.
- Manage and monitor operational KPI's to ensure resource planning support function's strategic and operational objectives.
- Provide leadership to their team and appropriate coaching and mentoring to promote a high performance culture within the logistics department.
- Responsible for ensuring that support is provided to injured team members in conjunction with the Return to Work function to ensure that team members are cared for and return to work in a timely manner.
- Build a high performance team through clearly defined objectives, development plans, open and transparent communication.
- Support the Area Manager Warehouse to clearly define tasks, and responsibilities in the shared operational areas for accountability purposes.
- Identify and embed best in class distribution processes and systems within the day to day operations to improve productivity and performance standards.
- Support the management of Primary transport carriers to ensure conformance to KPIs is achieved and service levels standards are maintained.
- Ensure the continual review, improvement of the non conformance issues to drive efficiency, service, safety (CoR), engagement and customer value within the distribution operations.
- Accountability for Chain of Responsibility compliance through training, reporting and monitoring and risk management on the Vinpac Angaston site.
- Promote succession and development planning within the distribution department through clearly defined training and development plans, open and transparent communication, feedback to team members and on job training.
