Community manager

Offer description

Splose is the AI-powered practice management platform powering better health care. Trusted by over 20,000 Allied Health professionals around the world, splose is purpose-built to free clinicians from admin and let them focus on what matters most - helping people. Backed by leading VC funds EVP, Spectrum Equity, and Athletic Ventures we have recently announced a record-breaking $46M Series A raise - the largest Series A of any South Australian SaaS company ever. We're growing fast and investing in our product, our people, and our global growth.

The Team

The Growth Team at splose is responsible for two things: ensuring the continued growth of the company, and improving how efficiently we achieve that growth.

Growth involves Designers, Marketers, Developers, Data, Product and more. Everyone involved is obsessed with driving massive value to our prospects, our customers, and to splose.

Being part of Growth means you will have the opportunity to work with some of the smartest people in their respective fields, and directly contribute to building one of the world's most impactful healthcare technology solutions.

The Role

The Community Manager is responsible for building splose into the most trusted, well-connected, and aspirational community in Allied Health in the world. At the centre of that is our Facebook Group of 5,200+ clinicians, alongside a growing events program and a structured approach to advocacy and referrals.

This is a strategic role, not a moderation role. We're looking for someone who sees community as one of the most powerful growth channels in our market, and who wants to build something genuinely world-class. This role would suit someone who thinks long term, loves working across a highly collaborative team, and wants to leave a real mark at one of Australia's fastest-growing tech companies.

The core pillars of this role

* Community engagement, health & growth: own the day-to-day management and strategic development of the splose community, primarily through our Facebook Group and adjacent channels (eg: Reddit, other Facebook groups, etc). Create and curate programming, facilitate connections, moderate discussions, and build the rituals and rhythms that turn passive members into active contributors. Your north star is a community so valuable that no Allied Health professional would want to miss it.
* Advocacy & referrals: design and run structured programs that turn our happiest customers into active promoters of splose. Build a referral program, cultivate brand ambassadors, generate case studies and testimonials, and manage our presence on review platforms. Community-led referrals should become a meaningful and measurable new business channel.
* Events: build a regular cadence of virtual webinars, online roundtables, and in-person meetups across our ANZ and UK markets. Events should deepen relationships, showcase splose's expertise, and create moments that pull our community together and attract new members.
* Community intelligence: be the voice of the community inside splose. Systematically capture and surface insights from community discussions — product feedback, pain points, trends, and competitor signals — and route them to the right teams. Help Product, Sales, and Growth understand what clinicians really need and play a huge role in the future growth and success of splose on the world stage.

Critically: this is a build role, not a maintenance role. We're looking for someone with the strategic vision to develop community into a genuine growth lever, and the hands-on execution skills to make it happen — from writing the first post to growing a referral program to hosting a webinar in front of hundreds of clinicians.

What you'll do

Build a world-class community

* Grow the splose Facebook Group membership and, more importantly, the quality and depth of engagement within it.
* Establish programming rhythms that give members consistent reasons to engage, eg: weekly topics, expert Q&As, product spotlights, customer spotlights, peer challenges.
* Define and track community health metrics (active member rate, engagement rate, member retention, NPS) and report on them regularly across the Growth team.
* Identify and engage with other existing Allied Health communities, eg: Reddit, other Facebook groups, etc

Launch a referral and advocacy engine

* Design and implement a structured referral program with clear mechanics, incentives, and attribution tracking.
* Build a pipeline of brand advocates: customers willing to give testimonials, participate in case studies, appear at events, and refer peers into splose.
* Manage and grow our presence on software review platforms (G2, Capterra) to strengthen social proof for prospects in the sales cycle.
* Establish community-driven referrals as a measurable and growing contribution to new business pipeline, reported alongside other demand gen channels.

Build a recurring events program

* Establish a regular calendar of events including webinars, virtual roundtables, and in-person meetups across ANZ and UK markets.
* Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external guest speakers to deliver high-value, practitioner-focused content.
* Track event impact: attendance, engagement, community growth, and pipeline attribution.

Be the voice of community internally

* Establish regular channels and rituals to route community insights to Product, Marketing, Sales, and CS teams.
* Flag trends, emerging pain points, and risks surfaced in community discussions proactively — before they become issues.
* Use community data and sentiment to inform content strategy, product prioritisation, and campaign targeting.

What you'll bring

* 5+ years of experience in community management, customer marketing, or brand advocacy; ideally in a fast-growing B2B SaaS environment.
* Proven experience designing and running a referral or advocacy program with measurable commercial outcomes.
* Experience managing and growing an online community (Facebook Groups, Slack, Discord, or similar).
* Experience planning and executing events, both virtual and in-person.
* Strong written communication and content creation skills. You are the voice of the community and need to write compelling, on-brand content quickly.
* Comfortable with data: able to define, track, and report on community health and commercial impact metrics.
* Experience collaborating cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, CS, and Product teams.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and entrepreneurial environment.
* Experience in Allied Health or Healthcare is a bonus. A genuine curiosity about the sector and the clinicians we serve is essential.

How you'll work

This role follows a hybrid work model, offering the flexibility to work from home two days a week.

Equal Opportunity Employer

splose is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. If you need support and adjustments in participating in this process, please let us know!
