We have an opportunity for an Assistant Security Officer to join the RRJV team in Wagga Wagga, supporting day to day security operations across Defence bases and ensuring compliance with Defence and company security requirements.
The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.

The opportunityWe currently have an opportunity for an Assistant security Officer to join the RRJV team at Wagga Wagga (either Blamey Barracks Kapooka or RAAF bases). This position will see the successful candidate manage day to day security requirements across the Riverina region, supporting the Program Manager and Chief Security Officer (CSO) ensure RRJV staff and service delivery partners operate compliantly with Defence requirements and relevant company security processes, while partnering closely with internal project teams and external stakeholders including Defence Security and Vetting Service (DS&VS).
What you'll doManage day-to-day regional security requirements in support of the Program Manager and CSO.Support RRJV contract operations by overseeing security compliance across staff and service delivery partners.Ensure alignment with Defence security obligations and company security processes and procedures.Build effective working relationships with internal project teams and the Assistant Security Officer.Liaise with external stakeholders including subcontractors, the client, and Defence Security and Vetting Service (DS&VS).What you'll bringHold and maintain NV1 Defence Security Clearance, with the ability to complete DS&VS-endorsed security training.2+ years' experience in a similar security role.High attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in data entry and written to conduct minor investigations and actively promote a positive security culture.This role can be based on either Blamey Barracks Kapooka or RAAF Base, Wagga Wagga. Relocation assistance is available for the successful candidate if required. Applicants must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV1 security clearance.
