AECOM is dedicated to helping industries, clients and governments meet their environmental responsibilities while positively impacting the environment we live in. We provide advisory and technical services to ensure compliance, manage impacts, and reduce risks, including obtaining permits and approvals, decommissioning and restoring contaminated sites, and tackling climate change challenges and resilience. We focus on water and soil contamination assessments, remediation of contaminated sites, occupational hygiene, stakeholder and community engagement, promoting a holistic approach to environmental impact management at every project stage.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work in the field on a variety of high-end and rewarding projects and be part of a team committed to achieving success and quality results.

You will have the opportunity to work on projects across NSW as part of the Environmental Team in the field of asbestos, hazardous materials, contaminated land and/or occupational hygiene. This role can be based in either Newcastle or Sydney.

How you'll make a difference

* Working within a team providing expert hazardous material/environmental advice across NSW.
* Working directly with clients to develop and maintain strong relationships.
* Deliver occupational hygiene monitoring and prepare reporting for clients.
* Work closely with clients, providing clear updates and professional advice.

The qualities that help you thrive

* Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Occupational Hygiene or a related field.
* Strong background in asbestos and hazardous materials work, including current LAA accreditation or experience in working towards this qualification.
* Skilled in report writing, proposals and clear communication.
* Hold a valid driver's licence.
* At least three years' experience, with confidence in WHS and compliance requirements.
