Canberra Museum and Gallery, Lanyon Homestead, Calthorpes House, and Mugga-Mugga Cottage are seeking enthusiastic Visitor Services Officers to help create memorable experiences for our visitors. About Us ACT Galleries, Museums and Heritage preserves and interprets the Canberra region’s past, present, and future through the Canberra Museum and Gallery and three iconic heritage sites: Lanyon Homestead, Mugga-Mugga Cottage, and Calthorpes House. These sites showcase the region’s Aboriginal, ecological, and cultural heritage. What You’ll Do As a Visitor Services Officer, you’ll be the public face of our team, delivering exceptional visitor experiences by: Leading education programs for children and young people Conducting tours and interpretive programs. Assisting with retail operations and supporting venue hire events. What We’re Looking For Experience engaging diverse audiences, especially children and young people. Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering engaging tours and programs, with the skills and ability to engage children and young people in education programs. A passion for Canberra’s history, culture, and people. Prior experience in education, museums, or cultural program delivery is highly regarded. Eligibility/Other requirements: Applicants must be able to: Travel to all sites Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
