MDM Mining and Civil is an indigenous owned business operating in the East Kimberley. MDM is a head contractor to Rio Tinto's Argyle Diamond Mine Closure Project. MDM is undertaking the rehabilitation of Argyle Diamond Mine.
About the role:
MDM has an opportunity for an experienced Civil Project Manager working a 2:2 roster back-to-back with another Project Manager. These roles will be responsible for planning and tracking the implementation of the project.
The duration of the role will be approximately 12 months.
Key responsibilities
* To work with the Project Engineer and Superintendent to ensure that they have a clear understanding of the work to be executed over the near and medium term.
* Ensure that the contractual obligations of the project are met in terms of systems of work and contract deliverables.
* Derive 3 week, and 2 month look-ahead plans from the Master Programme and update and adjust as required.
* Track the overall project progress to plan in terms of physical progress and costs compared to the budget.
* Provide weekly and monthly reports as per the contract.
* Manage project risks and drive the implementation of relevant controls.
* Submit Technical Queries, Plans, Procedures, ITPs and other contractual deliverables and communication via InEight email system.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and team members
* Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and implement comprehensive project plans
* Proficient in the use of project management software and tools such as MS Project and P6 Primavera
About you:
* Restricted Quarry Managers Ticket and SSE will be advantageous.
* Experience working in a Civil Earthworks environment.
* Strong focus on contractual compliance
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Eligibility:
Candidate must be able to undergo a full pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen and able to obtain a National Police Clearance less than 3 months old.
