Join Medacs Healthcare – Middle East to recruit a Staff Specialist Psychiatrist/Consultant Psychiatrist in the General Adult Acute Psychiatry Unit of the Hunter Recent England Local Health District. The role is based in Taree, NSW.
The position offers patient‑focused care within the District's Excellence Leadership Framework and involves ward rounds, clinical handover clinics, and on‑call consultation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care to admitted and non‑admitted patients, families, and carers.
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical handover clinics and remain on call for consultations.
- Build cooperative partnerships to drive team success and implement change.
- Educate and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students and multidisciplinary team members.
Essential Selection Criteria
- UK candidates: Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) with Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
- Other countries: Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
- Demonstrated clinical skills in adult mental health.
- Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
