The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) is currently seeking applications for an ServiceNow Technical Lead, to join the Information Technology team, internally known as the Enterprise Technology Group (ETG).
This hybrid role can be in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth and on an ongoing or non-going basis.
Reporting to Assistant Director Technology Management, the ServiceNow Technical Lead is responsible for providing ongoing support and development to business-critical systems including the ART internal service management system (ServiceNow).
The role will provide quality hands on ServiceNow development support whilst delivering authoritative advice and guidance to operations teams. The Technical Lead will develop using the ServiceNow low-code system to increase application delivery capacity and speed the delivery of solutions.

The key duties of the position include:
- Leadership: Demonstrate positive behaviours aligned with the APS Code of Conduct through leading by example and taking a proactive approach to development, training and career progression.
- Technical expertise and advice: Provide authoritative technical and development approach advice to the Technology Directors and cross-functional teams on ServiceNow. Contribute to the development of approaches, methodology, standards, guides and processes aligned with industry best practice for development-based disciplines, ensuring delivery of business objectives.
- Innovation and collaboration: Support innovation and collaboration to improve development of products, services and value/benefits realisation, including Agile, Lean and DevOps methodologies, identifying opportunities for change through the use of ServiceNow and the standardisation of development processes and practices.
- Delivery and improvement management: Responsible for executing development work to targets. Maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability and accountability of ART’s systems and information assets, ensuring compliance adherence to ART and whole of government technology policies and standards.
- Operational management: Support and maintain ServiceNow to meet defined needs, including design, operation, control, maintenance, and effective use. Assist to identify and manage technology risks and contribute to operational continuity of the ART’s environments to ensure systems and services are performing optimally and effectively. Meet targets for service levels and monitor and report on performance.
- Security management: Implement secure development of solutions by ensuring compliance with ART cyber and information security requirements, maintaining compliance and controls assurance.
- Stakeholder management: Support Program leads, Product Owners, and Technology Directors to manage stakeholders’ relationships and establish priority, strategic relevance and delivery of business initiatives, ensuring technical competence and positive user/customer centric experiences. Liaise with ServiceNow in relation to support arrangements and problem resolution as required.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- ServiceNow and JavaScript experience
- An understanding of ITIL
- Design and business analysis thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Eligibility
Essential:
- Vocational certification in ServiceNow Technology
- Have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
- The Tribunal requires Australian Citizenship as a condition of engagement.
- All employees are required to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and a Health Assessment.
Desirable:
- Academic qualification (degree, postgraduate) in technology and/or aligned qualifications
- Vocational certification in modern technologies (e.g., Agile, network, cloud, platforms)
