About us
The Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides specialist mental health care to more than 250,000 people across Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and the Banana region. Rockhampton is home to our acute adult services, including the Acute Care Team and inpatient units, supported by step‑up/step‑down and community residential facilities in Rockhampton and Gladstone. We deliver person‑centred care grounded in recovery, safety and community connection.
About the role
* Deliver high-quality, evidence‑based triage and mental health care for consumers and families.
* Conduct comprehensive assessment, planning and evaluation in line with national standards.
* Communicate clearly with consumers, carers, referral sources and the interdisciplinary team.
* Provide autonomous clinical practice within professional and service guidelines.
* Support continuous improvement through quality activities, audit and reflective practice.
* Contribute to a culture of safety, learning and collaborative decision‑making.
About you
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
* Occupational Therapy
* Psychology
* Social Work
* Registered Nurse
While not mandatory, appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 is highly desirable.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $135,857 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $56.08 - $60.05 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
