As our Sunshine Coast office grows, we're looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Business Services team. You'll step into a leadership role, work closely with a supportive director, and guide a team of accountants all while enjoying the coastal lifestyle and genuine work-life balance.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead and manage your own group of clients across accounting, tax and advisory
* Review complex compliance work and provide high-level business/tax advice
* Mentor, support and develop junior and intermediate team members
* Own job budgets, workflow, and scheduling based on capacity planning
* Identify opportunities for client growth and value-add services
* Collaborate with directors on technical reviews, team development, and process improvement
What You'll Bring
* CA or CPA qualification
* 5+ years' experience in public practice accounting
* Confidence reviewing complex tax returns across structures
* Strong leadership skills
* Excellent technical knowledge of tax, GST, super, and accounting standards
* High attention to detail, sound judgement and client-first mindset
* Strong Xero, Excel and Microsoft Office skills
