Contract & Vendor Relations Specialist

Full‐time, fixed‐term 3‐year contract. Geelong or Melbourne office location with flexible hybrid working. Competitive starting base salary of $120,621 plus super and benefits.

About the role

The Contract & Vendor Relations Specialist supports procurement and contract management of IT services within the Enterprise Transformation division. The role involves leading and coordinating procurement activities, supporting contract development and management, ensuring vendor relationships deliver value, performance, and alignment with strategic priorities. It operates at the intersection of business, technology and procurement, applying a practical, solutions‐focused approach to sourcing, contract coordination, and vendor engagement.

Key responsibilities include partnering closely with project teams, Procurement, Legal and vendors to ensure procurement processes are compliant, efficient and fit‐for‐purpose in an agile delivery environment. The role also contributes to uplifting capability across the division, supporting better vendor management practices, improving contract visibility and enabling more effective commercial decision‐making.

The role sits within the Enterprise Transformation division, which brings together business, digital, change and delivery expertise to enable sustainable, enterprise‐wide outcomes that optimise client experience, employee experience and community impact. It offers a highly collaborative, people‐focused, fast‐paced environment where curiosity, continuous improvement and shared accountability are strongly valued.

Qualifications

* Experience in IT procurement and contract coordination, with solid understanding of contract lifecycle management.
* Proficiency in supporting sourcing activities, drafting and managing contracts, and monitoring vendor performance to ensure value and compliance.
* Experience in a government or regulated environment is highly regarded.
* Strong eye for detail and ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring procurement and contract activities are accurate, timely and aligned with governance requirements.
* Sound commercial awareness, with the ability to interpret contract terms, identify risks and support informed decision‐making.
* Strong relationship‐building skills across business, technology and vendor stakeholders; proactive, adaptable and confident engaging with a range of stakeholders.
* Experience contributing to a positive team culture and supporting capability uplift across a division.
