Pursuit Strategist
The opportunity: As our Pursuit Strategist, you'll play a key role in supporting major "must win and retain" opportunities across the Financial Services Sector and our NewZealand practice. Working alongside a Strategic Pursuit Leader, you'll manage the operational execution of pursuit activities, including project and proposal management, and help deliver high‐quality, client‐centric proposals that drive successful outcomes. This position is a 12‐month parental leave contract role through to May****, able to be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia or NewZealand. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Key Responsibilities
* Project manage the pursuit process for major opportunities, ensuring timely delivery of high‐quality, on‐brand proposals that meet client expectations.
* Collaborate with pursuit teams and internal stakeholders to develop compelling value propositions and client deliverables throughout the pursuit cycle.
* Coach and support engagement teams, sharing best practices and contributing to the continuous improvement of pursuit activities across the business.
Skills and Attributes for Success
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise, set, and meet deadlines on concurrent projects.
* Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce persuasive, client‐focused content.
* Deep understanding of the design and production process; proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
* 6+ years' experience in a sales or marketing environment, including significant bid management or coordination experience (professional services experience favourable).
* Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and foster strong working relationships across teams.
* Creative skills and a growth mindset, with the ability to problem‐solve, show initiative, and adapt in fast‐paced environments.
* Experience coaching or mentoring others, and a commitment to sharing knowledge and best practice.
