allowances, up to $4,284.20 and 12% superannuation

The Role
Enjoy the outdoors, working a 9-day fortnight from 7:00 am –
4:00 pm
As a valued member of our Roads team, you will assist across
any areas of the municipality with maintenance operations when and where work
priorities demand, helping to achieve the overall maintenance objectives of the
operations teams.
You will use your high level of skills and knowledge to
perform a range of asset and infrastructure maintenance activities throughout
the Latrobe City municipality.
Workdays will be starting and concluding at Latrobe City
Council's depot at Driffield Road, Morwell.
About You
We are seeking a dedicated all-rounder who is passionate
about delivering high-quality work. Ideally you will have skills and experience
across the range of plant and equipment typically used in the maintenance of
roads, drainage and vegetation
You will be friendly, approachable, and professional to be
able to communicate with the public, clients, and other employees.
You will have:
* Current
Minimum Heavy Rigid Vehicle License
* Construction
Induction (White Card)
* Current
Traffic Control and Worksite Management certificate
* Competency
operating and maintaining plant and vehicles used in road maintenance such
as tractor and slasher/reach mower, motor grader, skid steer loader,
excavator, compaction equipment and flocon.
* Practical
experience undertaking Road and drainage maintenance and construction
works
Desirable:
* Current First Aid certificate (Level 2)
* Current certificate recognising the holder has
been trained and assessed to competently trim and cross cut felled trees
(desirable)
* Experience working with a Municipal Council or
similar authority (desirable only)
All successful applicants are required to undergo a Police
Check, Pre-Employment Medical Check and hold a valid employee Working with
Children Check.
