Forum Recruitment is proud to partner with an Australian-based investment management firm specialising in the industrial and logistics real estate sectors. We are seeking a motivated candidate to join an experienced team, based in Melbourne's southeastern suburbs.
The Position
As the Assistant Asset Manager, you will support the Asset Manager and Head of Asset Management in implementing, managing, and delivering asset strategies to ensure properties meet their core deliverables aligned with fund objectives.
You will be responsible for day-to-day asset management services across a mixed-use business park with a key focus on industrial, office and retail customers and suburban logistics.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing and implementing annual strategic asset plans.
* Manage leasing activities, including renewals, new leases, market rent reviews, and lease terminations.
* Prepare internal monthly reports, attend asset management meetings and collaborate on quarterly reviews.
* Coordinate with property managers and facility managers to ensure compliance and maintenance.
* Drive ESG strategies in collaboration with senior management, support ESG initiatives, OH&S compliance, development/stabilisation policies.
* Collate data for valuations and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation processes.
* Engage with tenants to build rapport and enhance retention.
About you
To be successful in this role, we require:
* Tertiary qualification in Real Estate, Land Economics, or Property.
* 3-5 years of experience in property, asset management or an analyst role.
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical and financial acumen.
* Understanding of accrual accounting and financial principles.
* Ability to interpret leases, licences, and legal documents.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement.
* Adaptable and collaborative in a fast-paced environment, and capable of working independently.
