About The Opportunity
Are you a compassionate allied health or nursing professional looking to channel your clinical expertise into a role with profound social impact? A premier federal government agency is seeking dedicated individuals to join their national team as Support Needs Assessors. In this fulfilling role, you will step away from traditional clinical treatment and move into a vital space of connection, advocacy, and empowerment. You will be the welcoming voice and the reassuring presence that guides individuals through their support assessment journey, ensuring they feel deeply heard, valued, and respected.
If you thrive in a collaborative, nurturing environment and want to use your clinical background to shape inclusive, person-centred outcomes, we would love to welcome your unique energy to the team.
Responsibilities
* Nurturing Connections: Engaging in warm, respectful, and guided conversations with participants and their families through both face-to-face and virtual channels.
* Holistic Evaluation: Gathering and beautifully synthesising information to understand each participant's unique life circumstances and disability support needs.
* Empathetic Writing: Translating complex clinical evidence into clear, compassionate, and robust assessment reports that protect the participant's welfare and choices.
* Collaborative Growth: Working closely with a supportive, geographically dispersed team to share insights, offer mentorship, and continuously refine service delivery.
Who You Are
* A Natural Connector: You possess exceptional communication skills, easily tailoring your style to uplift diverse audiences and navigating sensitive, trauma‐informed conversations with grace.
* An Inclusive Practitioner: You are passionately committed to cultural safety and actively removing barriers to ensure everyone feels embraced and supported.
* An Adaptable Teammate: You bring a calming, positive presence to evolving environments, effortlessly balancing competing priorities while supporting those around you.
