We have an exciting opportunity for a Marine Construction Supervisor or Superintendent to join the Lombrum team! In this role you will effectively be responsible for supervision of subcontractors executing the marine scope of the project including the construction of a new LCT logistics facility and upgrades to the existing jetty.
This role is based on Manus Island in Papua New Guinea working 28 days on, 14 days off roster. FIFO from Brisbane or Cairns is preferred.

Clough has been awarded the Lombrum Naval Base (LNB) Infrastructure project in PNG. The project includes the delivery of infrastructure and facilities at LNB. The main works will see infrastructure construction across the LNB. This includes water infrastructure, waste-water infrastructure, power generation, marine infrastructure and buildings.

Your focus will include:
- Responsible for the supervision of the subcontractor delivering the construction and refurbishment scope of works and see through to commissioning- Support quality control, safe work process, material management, procurement, and construction delivery within the marine works- Monitor cost, schedule, progress, and productivity including analysing deviations and implementing actions to correct- Examining marine machinery, equipment and subcontractors ensuring productivity targets are met- Ensure all projects are managed in accordance to contract terms, project goals and objectives whilst remaining compliant with the quality/integrated management system inclusive of administration requirements and document control
What you will bring to the team:
- 10+ years construction experience, with significant supervision experience managing subcontractors- Civil or Structural Engineering Degree with previous experience in Maritime Engineering- Extensive experience in all relevant of marine on-site construction including jetties and wharves- Familiarity with maritime HM&E systems and naval construction processes- Training and experience in managing on-site safety and personnel issues.- Critical thinking and problem-solving working skills with experience working on site in a fast-paced construction environment- Experience working in PNG and/or a remote environment is highly preferred but not essential
