As part of our Vehicles and Tactical Systems business, our Protected Vehicles (PRV) team is primarily focused on the design, manufacture, delivery and support of protected mobility vehicles on a global scale. In this newly created position, we are searching for a Process Engineering Manager to lead our industrial engineering team in the development and continuous improvement of our protective vehicle systems. The Process Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing the process engineering function, from consulting in the initial bid phase, through co-engineering the solution, implementation and ongoing improvements to deliver competitiveness of our industrial operations.
This position will predominantly be based at our site in Bendigo, however the role has responsibility in our Brisbane facility, hence regular travel will be required.
**Role & Responsibility**:
- Develop, implement and improve on efficient industrial processes to support the production and servicing of our protective vehicle systems and build development the versatility and flexibility
- Define and develop the industrial capabilities needed to sustain performance and of industrial operations through control plans, process flows, test strategies, P/SFMEA, KCs, PFEP, etc
- Participate in the development and implementation of automation, digitisation and capital project
- Develop and maintain industrial master files including standards, methods, tools, controls and master data including items, BOMs, routings
- Lead a team of engineers, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure project deadlines are met and deliverables are achieved to the highest quality standards
- Provide technical expertise in industrial engineering, ensuring the highest levels of quality and efficiency are developed and maintained
**Ideally you will possess**:
- Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in the automotive manufacturing industry with a focus on process engineering and in particular experience with APQP / MRL
- Experience in driving change and implementing a new framework within a complex industrial environment.
- Strong leadership skills having managed teams previously.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
