We are currently seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Fields Aged Care Home located in Eaton. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Fields is a 160 bed facility designed specifically to provide support for people who need 24 hour care, including those with special care needs and dementia.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in cleaning ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment, and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is core to our culture.
This position is being offered on a permanent part-time basis working 35 hours per week. The roster will be Monday to Friday 7.30am – 3pm.
About You
* Previous experience working as a Domestic Assistant / Cleaner, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
* Have a 'can do' attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
* Reliable with a strong work ethic
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
* Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations – minimum of one covid vaccination and annual flu vaccination
* Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
The Role
* Ensuring bathrooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floors and communal areas are kept clean and tidy
* Ensuring supplies are stocked across the facility
* Liaising with other employees to ensure the needs of our residents are met
* Ensuring residents' personal clothing is individually labelled and put away in their rooms, identifying items that require mending
