About the role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting custom cabinetry from start to finish, working with a variety of materials to produce high-quality joinery.
This is a hands-on role that requires a keen eye for detail, precision, and a passion for woodworking.
Duties and Responsibilities Studying and interpreting detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Selecting, measuring, and marking out timber and other materials for cutting and shaping.
Operating a range of woodworking machinery (such as panel saws, edge banders, and CNC routers) and hand tools with precision and a focus on safety.
Assembling cabinetry components, ensuring all joints are secure and accurate.
Fitting hardware and accessories, such as handles, hinges, and drawer runners.
Applying finishes, including laminates, veneers, and lacquers, to a high standard.
Performing quality control checks at all stages of production to ensure finished products meet our exacting standards.
Repairing and refurbishing existing cabinetry and joinery as required.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
Essential Skills Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and plans.
Extensive experience operating both traditional and modern woodworking machinery and tools.
A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality, custom joinery work.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing flawless work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
A strong understanding of and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards.
