About the Opportunity
We’re recruiting on behalf of a VC-backed Australian start-up at the cutting edge of life sciences and software. Our client is revolutionising genomic sequencing through the development of synthetic spike-in DNA/RNA controls and a brand-new bioinformatics platform. This is a high-impact opportunity for a Senior Front End Developer to join a multidisciplinary product team and shape the future of precision diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement modern, scalable front-end solutions with a strong focus on UI/UX and usability
* Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and bring data visualisations and insights to life
* Optimise performance and implement best practices in accessibility, maintainability, and code quality
* Contribute to product design discussions and participate in code reviews and technical planning sessions
* Help define and enforce front-end coding standards, architecture, and testing frameworks
What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years of experience in front-end software development
* Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web design principles
* Ability to write clean, well-structured, maintainable code
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile start-up environment
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
* Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
* Background or interest in data visualisation, genomics, or scientific applications
* Understanding of API design and system architecture
