A well-established global business is looking for a new Head of Finance for their Kirrawee office

A well-established global business specialising in innovative auto solutions it is one of the 100 largest automotive suppliers worldwide. With more than 50 locations and headquartered in Germany, it is represented in all major automotive markets. Having seen continuous growth in recent years it is an exciting time to join this niche business and head up their finance function. Located in Sutherland Shire area, this role provides a great opportunity for those wanting to avoid the traffic of the city.
**Your new role**
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have 2 reports in the finance team and also be the 'go-to' for other departments requiring support. Your duties will include but not limited to;
- Supervise day to day Company accounting activities, including supervision of 2 accounting staff
- Maintenance of General Ledger, supervise inventory, accounts receivable and payable
- Maintain company payroll and HR functions with support of external companies
- Produce Profit & Loss Statement and Balance Sheet to Audit level; liaise with external accountants and auditors
- Prepare and lodge BAS and other Tax reports
- Work in conjunction with senior management on Development of Company Budgets and Forecasts
- Provide significant input into the future strategic and tactical direction of the company
- Provide management with monthly, quarterly, yearly reporting and analysis
- Produce monthly Cash Flow reports for discussion with Management
- Maintain close contacts with German Head Office Finance staff and fulfil substantial Head Office reporting requirement
- Produce monthly sales reports, together with trend lines for discussion with senior management
- Set up, implement and maintain procedures and internal controls in all areas
- Provide necessary financial advice and maintain financial objectives, policies and procedures locally and in line with global policies
- Development and control of local ERP - Great Plains
- Proficient with IT and must have the ability to troubleshoot IT issues with external IT consultants
- Supervise and maintain ISO certification audit process
- Frequent interaction with Sales, Technical and Logistic department as well as external IT support
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Degree qualified in accounting, commerce or similar
- CA or CPA highly desirable
- Experience managing a complete finance function for a business ideally with overseas reporting/ Head office
- Advanced excel skills with PowerQuery, Pivot table, charts, filters, lookups highly desirable
- Experience with Agile GP highly desirable but not essential
- Excellent communicator and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
- An organised and flexible nature and comfortable working in a deadline driven environment
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Experience supporting in HR/ IT for a business highly desirable
