Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking a HSEC Officer to join the MIM HSEC team. This is a residential role in Mount Isa, working a 5/2 – 4/3 roster with 9 hour days. We strongly encourage local Mount Isa candidates to apply. For candidates located outside Mount Isa, relocation support is available to support you and your family in making Mount Isa home.

About The Role
Reporting to the Manager – HSEC, the HSEC Officer provides administrative and functional support across the full HSEC portfolio at Mount Isa Mines. This includes Health, Hygiene, Safety & Risk, Environment, Emergency Response, Security and Community.
The role has a strong focus on statutory administration, assurance systems, data management and regulatory support, contributing to safe, compliant and well governed operations across site.
Key responsibilities
* Provide efficient administrative support to the HSEC function
* Maintain assurance registers, statutory records and documentation, including Mine Record Entries and appointment currency
* Support regulatory communications, record keeping and document control
* Assist with review and update of HSEC Management System documentation
* Support delivery of weekly safety communications and reporting
* Support risk management processes, including:
* Data entry and maintenance of risk registers
* Uploading and verifying critical control documentation
* Formatting risk assessments and incident investigation records
* Assist with health and injury management administration, including Work Cover data entry, wage submissions and reporting
* Support HSEC related maintenance planning and asset records
* Coordinate site visits, meetings, travel and accommodation as required
* Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities within HSEC systems and processes
About you – skills and experience
You are a highly organised HSEC professional with strong administrative capability, attention to detail and the ability to support leaders and frontline teams in a compliance-driven operational environment.
You will bring
* Knowledge of HSEC Management Systems and regulatory processes
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Advanced administrative and records management capability
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly SharePoint, Excel and Word
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
* Experience supporting health, safety, environment or community functions
* Willingness to learn and use ERP systems such as SAP, BSAFE or travel systems
* A valid driver's licence (and ability to obtain site driving tickets)
