About the Prospect
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and highly skilled therapeutic team delivering specialist mental health care to some of the most vulnerable children and families in NSW. The Out of Home Care/Whole Family Team (OOHC/WFT) is a Tier 4 service made up of senior clinicians who bring creativity, flexibility, and systemic thinking to every case—grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and attachment-based practice.

You’ll work with children in out-of-home care with severe and complex mental health needs, and support family preservation for children at Risk of Significant Harm where parental mental health or substance use is a concern. The team collaborates closely with Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), Education, and Health services to provide integrated, shared care through outreach, inreach, and centre-based support.

This role is ideal for Clinical Psychologists with experience in child and adolescent mental health or child protection who are looking to expand their skills in a high impact setting. There are opportunities to engage in training, research, and contribute to service innovation—OOHC/WFT regularly presents at statewide and interstate conferences and is recognised for its leadership in clinical care.

Located directly opposite Ingleburn train station, with free and easy parking, this temporary position offers both accessibility and professional growth. Clinical Psychology Registrars are welcome to apply and will be well supported by a team that values collaboration, development, and excellence.

If you're ready to be part of a forward-thinking team making a real difference—We’d love to hear from you!

What You'll be Doing
To deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions and consultation in order to address the needs of consumers who are living with complex mental health problems and disorders.

The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs.
