This volunteer role is ideal for someone who enjoys the outdoors and has some previous gardening experience. You will be assisting in light gardening & maintenance duties such as helping maintain the guests vegetable garden, planting, weeding, pruning and operating an outdoor vacuum.
Requirements:
* knowledge of appropriate weed and pest control measures
* follow CCWA Sun Smart recommendations to protect from solar UV radiation (cover up, use sunscreen, wear a hat and sunglasses and seek shade where possible)
* understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
* respect for diversity
* positive attitude to the workplace
* reliable and trustworthy
* attend a volunteer induction and any role-related training
* participate in an annual reflection and any relevant team meetings
