Mechanical Supervisor/Team Leader (Manufacturing in Herons Creek)
Our large site at Herons Creek comprises both a Saw Mill and Dry Mill and is staffed with a welcoming and social team. We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Mechanical Supervisor to lead our mechanical team of 9 people on a permanent full-time basis.
You will be responsible for supervising the maintenance team, overseeing daily maintenance activities, and working closely with the Maintenance Manager and Production Supervisors to ensure optimal production and customer satisfaction through effective maintenance management.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Supervision and leadership of the mechanical team.
* Diagnosing and resolving complex maintenance issues.
* Planning and scheduling maintenance tasks, managing inventory including critical spare parts.
* Implementing maintenance strategies to optimize asset performance.
* Overseeing condition monitoring programs, vibration and oil analysis, and thermology.
The successful applicant will have:
* Proven experience in a maintenance role within manufacturing.
* A Mechanical trade certificate.
* Experience supervising a maintenance team.
* Good time management and prioritization skills.
* Experience with MEX Maintenance Software or similar (highly advantageous).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* A strong focus on safety.
