No. 103257Mount Isa Mines are searching for suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the role of Analyst – Process Control to join the GFM Maintenance team.
Reporting to the Superintendent – Electrical, you will provide technical expertise and support for our process control systems.
This role will encompass maintenance, process and reliability improvements, and project management, all aimed to achieve our operational targets in a safe and cost-effective manner.
You will ensure optimal administration and continuity of service for all process control systems, with a focus on meeting quality, financial, and output targets.This permanent full-time position is residentially based in Mount Isa on a 7 Days, 7 Off Day shift roster.Mount IsaMount Isa Mines location and roster offers an attractive lifestyle option.

Learn more about Mount Isa Mines at the administration of Control System Components, including PLC/PAC code management and drives optimisation.Participate in the creation of process functional descriptions and develop control interfaces.Maintain cyber security standards and manage control systems availability.Administer & maintain process data delivery to Business Systems (live data, historian data, external OPC connections).
Support control system engineering functions and develop documentation for business continuity.Contribute to and maintain the Operational Technology equipment and supporting documents.Follow agreed project management frameworks and investigate ongoing developments in process control.Mentor the Electrical Engineer team and Electrical Maintenance team to enhance the productive operation of process control systems.Ensure compliance with relevant standards for equipment from various OEMs and complete other duties as required.QualificationsAn electrical trade or tertiary qualification in computer science or engineeringPostgraduate or trade training in Rockwell and AVEVA system platform SCADA.Ability to obtain Site Supervisor – G1 G8 G9 certification.Experience in control system operation and modifications.Proficiency in PLC coding, functional safety systems, plant instrumentation, and data communication protocols.Familiarity with Rockwell automation systems AVEVA system platform SCADA.Understanding of domain administration, access control functions, and operational technology network topologies.Application Close: 8am Tuesday, 30 th September 2025
