Gympie Regional Council (GRC) is seeking expressions of interest from a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the vacancy of Independent Member for Council's Audit & Risk Committee (ARC).
The Committee comprises:
- Three (3) Independent Members including Chair
- Two (2) Councillor Members
The Committee meets five (5) times each year with a dedicated meeting for consideration of financial statements.
As an Independent Member of the Committee, you will contribute your, specialist skills and knowledge to matters which assist Council in the oversight of internal and external audit functions, financial reporting, risk management processes, oversight of internal control systems and the progression of Councils ARC workplan.
The successful applicant will demonstrate competencies which contribute to the operations of the Committee. Desirable areas of expertise include, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Project Management, Change Management and Auditing.
Remuneration for this position is $ 1,000 (excl GST) per meeting.
