High-End Residential & Commercial Projects
We are seeking an experienced Electronic Security Technician to join VIDSEC, specialising in high-end residential homes and select commercial projects.
This role suits a technician who takes pride in neat workmanship, attention to detail, and delivering premium systems to clients. Experience with computers (Linux & Windows), Inception & Integriti, Ajax, NX witness & networking will be highly regarded.
The Role
You will be responsible for service, installation, maintenance and commissioning of:
* Advanced IP CCTV systems
* Intruder Alarm systems
* Access Control systems
* Integrated security and automation solutions
* System upgrades and expansions
* Structured/security cabling
As well as
* Fault finding and diagnostics
* Client demonstrations and premium handovers
* Maintaining tools, vehicles and equipment in a clean and safe condition
* Complying with all workplace health and safety requirements, site rules and company policies
* Completing job documentation as required
* Liaising professionally with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues
Projects include architect-designed homes, luxury residences, offices, licenced venues and retail spaces.
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 5+ years experience in electronic security
* Strong experience in CCTV and alarm systems
* Experience working in high-end residential environments
* Queensland Security Provider Licence (Class 2)
* Open Cabling Licence with security endorsements
* Current Driver's Licence
* Trade Qualification (AQF Certificate Level IV or equivalent)
* White Card or Equivalent
* Excellent presentation and communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously and maintain high workmanship standards
* Ability to work outside of normal working hours when required
* Ability to travel throughout QLD when required
* Capable of complex work and guiding others
Highly Regarded:
* Networking knowledge (IP configuration, routers, VLANs)
* Experience with access control systems (Integriti, Inception, Ubiquiti)
* Experience with computers (Windows & Linux)
* Experience with Alarm systems (Inception, Bosch, Ajax)
