**Our journey**
The **Victorian Heart Hospital** will be Australia's first dedicated heart hospital and is nearing its final stages of construction. It will include a full range of ambulatory and inpatient cardiac care, including cardiac theatres, cardiac catheterisation laboratories and ambulatory services such as cardiac CT, echocardiography and specialist consultation. It will also feature a unique, patient centred model of care. The Victorian Heart Hospital will also play a key role in advancing research and teaching and will be home to the Victorian Heart Institute, a brand new, health and medical research organisation at Monash University.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding hospital pharmacy technician to join our pharmacy team in a full time, permanent role to help establish the pharmacy service at the **Victorian Heart Hospital**.
**A day in the life**

As a **Grade 2 Pharmacy Technician**, you will work as part of the Victorian Heart Hospital Pharmacy Technician Team to provide best practice medication management and pharmacy services to patients, carers, clients and health care professionals.
You'll also enjoy working in brand new facilities in a dedicated heart hospital that will provide:

- a dedicated leadership team fostering high performing talent and career progression within a tertiary hospital
- cutting edge state of the art technology including automated medication cabinets
**Full time Ongoing positions are an 8-hour shift per day, Monday to Friday. **Our full-time employees accrue a day off every four weeks. The successful person will be required to work some late shifts and weekends/public holidays.
**What you bring**
Under the guidance of the **Victorian Heart Hospital **Grade 4 Pharmacy Technician Team Leader, you will bring the following experience and knowledge to the role (italics indicates desirable):
- Experience working as a hospital pharmacy technician
- Certificate III or IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support, or equivalent
- Ability to perform general hospital pharmacy technician tasks including dispensing, inpatient supply, imprest and Schedule 8/4D supply
- _ Ability to work in specialised areas such as PBS management, pharmaceutical purchasing and compounding_
- Australian working rights
