Description: Permanent full‐time role offering stability and job security. Varied, hands‐on work across Council's maintenance and civil operations. 9‐day fortnight to support work/life balance.

About The Role

As a Crew Member Operator, you will be part of a skilled and safety‐focused team responsible for the construction, maintenance and safety of our local road network. This is a practical role involving the operation of plant and equipment, general labouring, and working in live traffic environments. You will play an important role in delivering quality outcomes for the community while maintaining a strong focus on safety, teamwork and customer service. This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key Activities Of This Role Include

* Operate a range of plant and equipment to support road construction and maintenance works
* Undertake general labouring duties including bitumen, concrete, drainage and traffic works
* Work safely in high‐risk environments such as traffic corridors, near overhead power lines and underground services

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

* Current HR Drivers Licence
* Current SafeWork accreditation as a Traffic Controller (TCR)
* Current SafeWork accreditation to Implement Traffic Control Plans (IMP)
* Relevant licences or certification of competency to operate allocated plant or with obligation to obtain within a specified time period as required
* Current Safework White Card (general construction induction card) or equivalent

Experience In These Areas Will Be Highly Regarded

* Experience operating small plant, trucks over 4.5 tonnes, and complex plant associated with civil construction and maintenance
* Experience undertaking general labouring tasks in a civil construction and maintenance environment
* Demonstrated experience in plant floating, towing operations and load restraint

Other Important Information

* The commencing salary for this position is up to $66K. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $76.5K on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus12% superannuation + Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance
* We have a permanent full-time role available
* This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
* This role is located at the Long Jetty Depot
