Visual Merchandising Specialist

Purpose The Visual Merchandising Specialist is responsible for executing category strategies and initiatives within their area of responsibility. This role supports the development of visual messaging systems, ensures adherence to visual guidelines across multiple platforms, and delivers monthly visual merchandising updates for store execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute category visual strategies
* Support seasonal VM concepts
* Drive in-store visual impact
* Deliver category-relevant visual guidelines that reflect core principles and visual messaging systems.
* Support the development of category training content aligned to seasonal concepts and visual merchandising frameworks.
* Contribute to the creation of seasonal window concepts and front-of-store displays.
* Collaborate with creative teams to source assets and product imagery aligned to seasonal initiatives.
* Monitor assortment levels in partnership with buying and planning teams to maintain commercial integrity.
* Participate in seasonal walkthroughs with senior stakeholders to ensure cohesive commercial direction.
* Assist in the creation and refinement of presentation templates to ensure consistency and quality.
* Support Field Visual Merchandising and Retail teams in identifying trading opportunities and executing category strategies.

About You Qualifications (Highly Regarded)
* Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Diploma in Visual Merchandising.
Experience
* 2–3 years' experience in visual merchandising, retail design, or a related role.
* Demonstrated experience executing successful visual merchandising strategies.
Skills
* Strong understanding of visual design principles and branding.
* Proficiency in design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) and floor‑planning tools.
* Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret sales data and identify trends.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
* Strong creative and visual sensibility.
* Knowledge of retail trends, customer behaviour, and market dynamics.
* Experience using visual merchandising tools including planograms, signage, and display techniques.
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
