As a seasoned hospitality professional, you will have the opportunity to manage bookings, build strong relationships with clients and deliver truly memorable events, meetings and conferences.
A typical day in this role may include:
- Liaising with clients to book their events
- Establishing client requirements to effectively facilitate their needs
- Responding to event enquiries and upselling to maximise sales, occupancy and revenue
- Accurately logging all enquiries in the system - compiling accurate event orders and regular reports for the operations team
- Adhering to hotel deposit and billing procedures (following up deposits, sending pre-payment advice and ensuring it's received, posting miscellaneous charges, reconciling billing post event, processing commissions)
- Maintaining open communication and effective relationships with departments
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in groups, meetings and events in a hotel or sales role
- Passion for delivering exceptional client experiences and client engagement
- Confidence in proactively preventing problems and ability to handle service recovery following any complaints
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledgeable of hotel systems including Salesforce and Opera is advantageous
- Organisational skills - managing multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines
- Collaboration - building and maintaining internal and external relationships
