**About the Opportunity**
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **WCHN Children's Audiology Service**team as a** Paediatric Audiologist,**where you will be responsible for:
- Providing appropriate behavioural audiological assessments to determine hearing abilities in children aged 0-18 years. This will include determining hearing threshold by using age-appropriate audiological assessments, speech audiometry, middle ear evaluation and otoacoustic emissions.
- Conveying outcomes of an assessment in a sensitive and accurate manner such that the information can be utilised by and be of benefit to the individual, family and/or referrer.
- Maintaining a contemporary understanding of child development, ear health, pathology, screening and diagnostic assessments and interventions for hearing loss to maximise children's ability to grow and develop.
- Working efficiently in a fast-paced audiology setting which experiences long waiting times.
- Maintaining positive working relationships within the department and external stakeholders.
**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full association membership with Audiology Australia**.**:
- Demonstrated ability to ensure the provision of high quality, efficient and effective Paediatric Audiology services.
- Experience in working with children of all ages in Acute, Community or both clinic settings.
- Ability to adapt and re-prioritise according to changing clinic and client needs.
- Ability to sensitively relate to and communicate with colleagues, parents and families, children, and other members of the community from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds.
