Job Description



Bring your creative flair, willingness to learn and hard work to our little hotel in Thornleigh! This is the perfect role for an aspiring and passionate Commis/Demi chef, looking to push their limits, test their grit and make our hotel’s little kitchen their own.

Lead a small team of chefs and cooks to maximize the offerings of the breakfast buffet and the all day bistro; operating alongside other Department Heads to achieve common goals. An amazing opportunity to learn how to manage your own kitchen with the support and mentorship from an experienced and passionate Accor General Manager.

The sky is the limit with this role, offers an amazing opportunity to get into an Accor hotel. With endless opportunities to grow and progress, this a true example of “you get out what you put in”.

What you will be doing:

* Building and mentoring your team
* Use your creative flair to design an Al a Carte dinner menu
* Daily food preparation for breakfast, lunch and dinner bistro dining.
* Food ordering and stock control partnered with cost management.
* Upkeep of hygiene and cleanliness standards
* Maintain Food Safety Program
* Build rapport with customers
* Continue to learn and drive your development


Qualifications



Your experience and skills include:

* Minimum 1 years experience within areas of the culinary field; previous experience in a supervisory/management position.
* Proven abilities in attaining targets in all key measurements relating to guest satisfaction, financials, colleague management and standards compliance.
* Certifications in Hospitality or culinary management
