**The Role**
- Planning, coordination and governance
- Project management
- Program management and policy delivery.
This is a strategically important role where you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team contributing to the DEWR's commitment for a national leadership on governance, networks and collaboration.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Report to the Director, oversee the implementation of the department's governance framework and delivery including project artefacts, meeting documents, status reports, briefing and minutes.
- Build and maintain effective, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a high level of productivity and a high level of independence to resolve issues and delivery quality outcome.
- Responsible for mentoring and leading a team, including planning and monitoring of work processes, quality assurance, decision making and achievement of project outcomes. Responsible for the quality of work undertaken and decisions made by the team.
- Prepare and deliver complex and high-quality papers, reports, briefs, operational documents and presentations.
- Adopt a strategic focus and consider wider organisational implications when making decision.
- Identify and implement process improvement including leading and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information in accordance with government security requirement.
**Qualifications and Education**
- Appropriate qualification in project management is desirable.
- Experience in managing secretariat, project governance and monitoring.
