Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to oversee and manage complex projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in project management, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsible for the co-ordination of all engineering, construction and maintenance activities for LERA assets, ensuring that disciplines and external interfaces (e.g. Suppliers, Contractors, etc.), are coordinated, relevant activities are completed in accordance with budget and schedule requirements, deliverables are technically fit for purpose and that the Project Manager and relevant function Leads are kept informed on progress and any issues/concerns.

* This role requires an understanding of the following:
* HSE Leadership
* Managing multiple external stakeholders
* Design Management
* Project Plan Development
* Schedule Development
* Project Reporting

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the project engineering activities of assigned projects
* Provide input into the Project Execution Plan, including the implementation, monitoring and improvement as appropriate
* Required to assist with Project Engineering functions, to ensure cost effective and efficient achievement of all works
* Carry out the scope of work as defined by Contract obligations, including variation orders, in accordance with the project schedule, through day-to-day direction of all project groups represented by the designated line management
* Utilise cost and schedule performance indicators to monitor performance of all assigned projects, and suggest measures that positively influence and control project performance
* Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems, and to assist in the development and implementation of the Quality Plan
* Manage and co-ordinate the activities and responsibilities of any assigned team members, including engineers, project controllers, and project engineers
* Ensures that the HSEQ performance of the relevant Suppliers and Contractors is monitored, measured and managed as required so as to meet Project and Contractual requirements
* Develop excellent customer relationships to understand our customer needs and expectations

Essential skills/experience

* Ideally a recognised Engineering Degree or Diploma or similar
* 1- 5 years as a Project Engineer in the energy resources sector,
* Effective leadership, team management, problem solving, analysis and conflict resolution skills
* Effective Commercial/Contractual skills and their associated requirements on major Projects
* Effective communication, presentation and report writing skills
