Child Protection Specialist
We are seeking a Child Protection Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering trauma-informed, age-appropriate counselling services to individuals and families, with children's needs and safety at the centre of all work.
* Deliver therapeutic interventions and assessments to support the safety, recovery, and resilience of children and families.
* Contribute to internal education on best practices in child protection.
* Work collaboratively with external partners to achieve shared goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate the risk of harm to children.
2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support services to families.
3. Provide training and guidance to colleagues on best practices in child protection.
Requirements:
* Degree in Social Work, Psychology or similar field.
* Qualifications in trauma counselling and professional registration eligibility.
* At least two years' experience providing trauma-informed counselling to children, individuals and families affected by family violence.
* Knowledge of trauma, developmental theory, family systems, and family violence frameworks.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
