Clinical Nurse - Accident and Emergency Department at Joondalup Health Campus

Permanent full time opportunity.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse with demonstrated broad knowledge and clinical expertise in all areas of patient care to join our fast‑paced Accident and Emergency department. As one of the busiest Emergency departments in Western Australia, our department treats a truly interesting and diverse case mix and has 77 patient bays, which is made up of adult treatment bays, a 15‑bed emergency admission area, a 10‑bed Mental Health Observation Area, an 11‑bed paediatric treatment and observation area and three resuscitation bays. Working in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will assist with unit based education/training activities within the department and have ongoing responsibility for mentoring, role development and enhancing the skills of nursing staff to ensure a high level of clinical care is delivered.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset working within a hospital, with a passion for providing quality patient focused care. Your strong leadership, ability to inspire and motivate, excellent time management and developed clinical problem‑solving skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Assist with unit based education/training activities within the department and have ongoing responsibility for mentoring, role development and enhancing the skills of nursing staff to ensure a high level of clinical care is delivered.

Selection Criteria

- Relevant registration with the AHPRA
- Minimum of five years’ experience working in an Emergency department with both adult and paediatric emergency expertise or three years’ experience and an Emergency Specialty Post Graduate qualification
- Ability to manage a designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators and other quality projects
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Candidates who hold any relevant postgraduate qualification/s will be highly regarded.

Requirements

- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- Depending on the role, Ramsay may require a Working‑With‑Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases

Remuneration

On offer is a full‑time equivalent salary of $102,387.90 - $108,784.58 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances (WA Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2 gr1-gr4).
