Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Advisor to play a pivotal role in shaping the environmental and planning outcomes for Perth Airport's development projects.
As the Senior Advisor, you will lead the preparation and delivery of environmental impact assessments, management plans, and statutory approvals in line with Commonwealth and State legislation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating technical inputs and engaging with regulators and consultants
* Ensuring compliance with environmental and heritage obligations
* Scoping and managing approval pathways
* Contributing to master planning
* Providing strategic advice to internal stakeholders
Building strong relationships with government agencies, community groups, and project teams is crucial to your success.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biological Sciences or a related discipline
* A minimum of 10 years' experience delivering environmental impact assessments, statutory approvals, and compliance documentation across complex infrastructure projects
* Demonstrated expertise in navigating Commonwealth and State environmental legislation, including the EPBC Act and Airports Act 1996
* Proven ability to lead the preparation of high-quality environmental documentation, including management plans and technical reports, within tight timeframes
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with regulators, consultants, community stakeholders, and internal teams
* Experience managing multidisciplinary inputs and coordinating technical assessments to support major development proposals
* A proactive and organized approach to managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes aligned with strategic objectives
