About the role
The Solution Architect will provide architectural leadership for the specification and rollout of a Copilot-driven M365 Collaboration platform. The primary technologies in scope are Copilot Premium, Purview eDiscovery and SharePoint Advanced Management, along with integration with an extensive Microsoft and bespoke application landscape.
The role will be responsible for developing solution architecture artefacts to support the establishment of the enterprise platform as well as developing solution architectures for specific solutions that will reside on the platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Architecture Design: Architect solutions for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Purview and other key apps.
* Agentic AI Governance: Establish guidelines for prompts, access control, risk management, and data lifecycle management.
* Integration Strategy: Design connectors and APIs that link Copilot into enterprise systems.
* Business Transformation: Translate customer challenges into high-ROI AI roadmaps, run workshops, and drive platform adoption.
* Technical Mentorship: Guide developers and engineers through Copilot architecture and extensibility.
Experience
* Minimum 5 years experience with M365, Copilot, SharePoint and Purview architecture.
* Experience with agentic AI.
* Minimum ten years' experience as a Solution Architect in large and complex enterprise environments.
* Broad architecture capability with exposure to data and analytics strategy, integration patterns, and enterprise platforms, working with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business outcomes.
* Extensive experience in architecting Azure-based solutions.
* Proven Solution Architecture experience designing end-to-end solutions that modernise legacy platforms and enable new digital capabilities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate easily understood architectural advice to TMR business units to assist them in making informed choices on ICT products, services and direction.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and consulting skills.
* Familiarity with Queensland Government ICT frameworks and compliance requirements.
