Job Description
Western NSW Local Health District is seeking a Staff Specialist/Visiting Medical Officer - Child and Adolescent Safety Paediatrician. This is a permanent part-time position (0.4FTE, 16 hours per week).
The successful applicant will provide specialist support for child victims of interpersonal violence and work closely with other health staff and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide medical forensic care and treatment for victims of violence, abuse, and neglect.
* Work closely with other health staff and external agencies, such as Police and Department of Communities and Justice.
Requirements
* Medical Practitioner registered or able to be registered in Australia.
* Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Paediatrics and Child Health Division.
* Appropriate knowledge and clinical experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in child abuse and neglect, including child sexual assault.
